The company initially expects to open 32\u00a0establishments thanks to an agreement with a local partner for business expansion in the\u00a0region. Its aim is to bring the company&#8217;s entire retail range to this region, which has a population\u00a0of more than 16 million inhabitants, making it the densest region in the country.<\/p><p>Since operations began, DIA Brasil has been implemented in five regions: S\u00e3o Paulo,\u00a0Minas Gerais, Bahia, Rio Grande do Sul and Rio de Janeiro, with a business model that has\u00a0proven successful. DIA is the highest selling brand in Brazil, representing 35% of all sales in\u00a02015, and the ClubDia loyalty card now has more than 3.8 million members, after just a year in\u00a0operation. DIA Brasil has launched the \u2018Specialists in Thrift\u2019 programme, a customer community\u00a0with activities focusing on savings.<\/p><p>Furthermore, DIA Brasil, which has been present in the country for over 15 years\u00a0now, has just passed the 1,000-store mark and opened a new warehouse in Mau\u00e1, in the state\u00a0of S\u00e3o Paulo, for distribution to its network of stores. DIA Brasil has a total of 6 warehouses.\u00a0<\/p><p>Gross revenues for the label in Brazil reached EUR 1,645 million in 2015, with 11.6%\u00a0growth in the local currency. Accumulated growth from January to September this year was\u00a06.8%, reaching EUR 1,337 million. Over the last 5 years, DIA Brasil has shown a 16% increase\u00a0year-on-year in the network, going from 480 stores in 2011 to more than 1,000 at present.\u00a0<\/p><p>This week, the first store in Paraguay also began operations after signing an\u00a0agreement with a local partner, Distribuidora Gloria, one of the leading distributors in this\u00a0country, which has long-running experience in the mass consumption sector and a significant\u00a0distribution network that covers all of Paraguay.
