for a total of EUR146m to be paid in cash.<br \/>The acquired stores have an average selling area of close to 800 m2,\u00a0and currently operate under the Caprabo, Eroski Center and Eroski City banners. In\u00a0addition to the region of Madrid, the acquired stores are also located in Andaluc\u00eda,\u00a0Extremadura, Castilla Le\u00f3n and Castilla La Mancha. The acquired store network is\u00a0composed of 152 rented stores and 8 owned stores.<\/p><p>This acquisition reinforces DIA\u2019s position in the Iberian market, and\u00a0especially in Madrid city, where moves up from fourth to second position in terms of\u00a0sales, with a market share of 9.8%, while its nationwide market share is 9.5%*.\u00a0<\/p><p>In 2013, gross sales from these stores amounted to EUR487m. The\u00a0transaction is pending approval by the competition authorities.\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column
